Joseph A. Schumpeter on Politics - Dictionary of Arguments

Mause I 65
Politics/Schumpeter: Schumpeter's thesis is famous that the citizen "falls to a lower level of mental achievement as soon as he enters the political realm. He argues and analyses in a way that he would readily acknowledge as infantile within the sphere of his real interests. He's becoming primitive again." (1)
VsSchumpeter: Schumpeter still saw a lack of rationality in the ignorance of the citizens; later theorists have normatively revalued the same facts as rational ignorance.
>Rationality
